Senators’ Carl Bouldin was two sport standout

Carl Bouldin, who pitched for the Washington Senators in the early 1960s, is one of the nearly 900 retired baseball players who don’t receive pensions from Major League Baseball. While his career in The Show wasn’t especially memorable, what a lot of fans may not know is that he was also a member of the 1960-61 University of Cincinnati Bearcats basketball team that won the 1960-61 NCAA championship.

Lee Hamilton, of the Ledger Independent, in Maysville, Kentucky, profiled Bouldin in a great feature article that ran last week: Germantown-born Bouldin was two-sport standout
