This Day in Washington Nationals History – Zimmerman hits his sixth career walk-off game-winner

2005Chad Cordero saved his major league leading 36th game of the season. The Nationals
beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-1. The victory was only the fifth for the Nationals in
the 19 games the team has played since the All-Star break. The 2nd place Nationals are
4 ½ games behind division leading Atlanta Braves.

2007 – 22 year-old Ryan Zimmerman hits his sixth career walk-off game-winner, when he
hit a single off of Cardinals reliever Ryan Franklin. Zimmerman's ninth-inning single
gave the Nationals (49-60) their fourth straight win, 3-2 over the Cardinals (50-56).

2012 - Washington Nationals released Koyie Hill. Oakland Athletics traded Kurt Suzuki
and cash to Washington Nationals in exchange for David Freitas.
