2006 – Debuts on This Date –Chris Schroder (27).

2009 – The Washington Nationals (39-72) won their seventh game in a row against Arizona. The winning streak is their longest streak since 2005.

Garrett Mock won his first game of the season and recorded his first win as a starter. Mock pitched six innings, allowing five hits, walking three and striking out seven in Washington’s 5-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks (50-61).

The Nationals are 13-11 since Jim Riggleman replaced Manny Acta at the All-Star break.  Josh Willingham’s fourth inning two run home run off Dan Haren  gave Washington a 3-2 lead.

After Morse hit his 18th home run Willie Harris hit a triple. Harris went onto score on Alberto Gonzalez’s sac-fly, and Washington led 4-2. Josh Bard’s solo home run in the sixth inning padded the Nationals lead 5-2.

2010 – The Nationals optioned RHP Collin Balester to Triple-A Syracuse.

2012Gio Gonzalez pitched his first ever nine-inning complete game in the major league and hit his first ever major league home run. Gio led the Washington Nationals (68-43) to a 4-3 victory over the Houston Astros (36-76). Gonzalez improved his record to 14-6.
