In front of a crowd of 2.500 spectators the George Washington Colonials played the St. Joseph’s Hawks in the first baseball game played at the new Nationals Park. The Colonials filled out the box score as they racked up 19 base hits on their way to a 9-4 victory.
With the win the Colonials were able to win their opening Atlantic 10 series. The Colonials are currently (10-9) overall and (2-1) in the A-10. The loss gives St. Joseph’s a record of (9-12) overall and (1-2) in the A-10.
