2008 – Lastings Milledge and Ryan Zimmerman both drove in two runs and Washington Nationals (50-85) beat the Atlanta Braves (59-76) 7-3 for its fourth straight victory.
2012 – Bryce Harper‘s first two-homer game ended with him throwing his helmet in the ninth inning and getting himself thrown out of the game by umpire C.B. Bucknor. Harper’s homers did help the first-place Washington Nationals (78-51) snap a five-game losing streak by beating the Miami Marlins (59-72) 8-4.
2013 – Gio Gonzalez pitched seven innings and Washington (68-65) hit three homer runs in a 9-0 win over the Miami Marlins (49-83). Jayson Werth and Ian Desmond each hit a three-run homer as Washington won for the eighth time in its last nine games. Bryce Harper also homered helped the Nats pull within 6 1/2 games of the Cincinnati Reds for the second NL wild-card spot.
