2006 – The Washington Nationals (68-87) beat the slumping New York Mets (93-62) 5-1. Tony Armas pitched six strong innings for his first victory in seven starts and Ryan Zimmerman hit two doubles and drove in one run for Washington, which sent the NL East champions to their seventh defeat in 10 games.
2007 – The New York Mets (87-69) blew a chance to widen their lead in the NL East as Austin Kearns hit a three-run homer and Ronnie Belliard drove in three more in the Washington Nationals’ (70-87) 13-4.
2010 – Adam Dunn had hit two home runs, and the Washington Nationals (66-88) were on their way to an 8-3 win over the Atlanta Braves (86-68).
2011 – Chien-Ming Wang (4-1) pitched six innings and drove in a run with his first career hit, leading the Washington Nationals (77-80) to a 4-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves (89-69).
2012 – Jayson Werth hits two-run double when Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez lost a ball in the sun to spark a six-run fourth inning Washington beat Milwaukee 12-2 to cut its magic number for winning the NL East to five.
