The Senators’ ace Walter Johnson gave up four earn runs on six base hits in nine innings as his record fell to 4-2. The Red Sox starter Howard Ehmke gave up two runs on five hits as he improved his record to 3-2.
After the loss to the Red Sox the Senators are now five games behind the Yankees in the standings.
