Cristian Guzman became the 2nd player in the *Nationals short four year team history to hit for the cycle. On April 6, 2005, Brad Wilkerson hit for the cycle against the Philadelphia Phillies.
In the eighth inning of game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Washington Nationals, Guzman hit a line drive past Manny Ramirez that made it to the outfield wall, Guzman reached 3rd base on the hit. The triple was all Guzman needed to become 7th player in Washington D.C. baseball history since 1901 to hit for the cycle.
On this same date in 1924 Washington Senators’ great and Hall of Fame player Leon “Goose” Goslin hit for the cycle. Goose Goslin was the 2nd player on the list.
